Karen Greenberg, executive director of the Center on Law and Security at NYU Law School, is available to discuss the President’s nomination of White House Counsel Alberto Gonzales to succeed Attorney General John Ashcroft as head of the Justice Department.

Greenberg, global expert on terror and counterterrorism, is co-editor of The Torture Papers, an accessible and documented record of how the Bush Administration’s policy of torture in the questioning of prisoners evolved. Cambridge University Press will publish The Torture Papers in early January 2005. The Center on Law and Security is a research and policy center that studies the legal dimensions of security and counterterrorism at national and international levels.
