New York University will host a conference on economic growth, featuring MIT Nobel Laureate Robert Solow and NYU economics faculty, Dec. 13-15, on the NYU campus (Lipton Hall, 108 W. 3rd Street, between MacDougal and Sullivan Sts.). The conference marks the upcoming publication of the inaugural Handbook of Economic Growth (Elsevier), edited by Harvard University’s Philippe Aghion and the University of Wisconsin’s Steven Durlauf. The event, co-sponsored by NYU’s C.V. Starr Center for Applied Economics and its Development Research Institute, comes just prior to President Bush’s economic initiatives forum.
