Health Policy Forum on Monday March 10, 2003, Co-Sponsored by NYU Wagner School and “Rekindling Reform”

  • WHO: Howard Dean, MD, is expected to deliver a speech regarding his plan for guaranteeing health insurance to every American. A practicing physician, Dean was Governor of Vermont from August of 1991 to January of 2003. Previously, he served as Vermont’s Lt. Governor [1986 -1991] and in the Vermont House of Representatives [1982-1986].
  • A Democrat, Dean is currently seeking his party’s 2004 Presidential nomination.

  • WHAT: The NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service in collaboration with “Rekindling Reform”, a joint project of 42 organizations in New York State formed to stimulate debate and discussion as to how the country can best provide quality health care for all, is hosting this educational Health Policy Forum to explore the policy challenges of containing health care costs, improving quality and expanding health insurance coverage.
