NEW YORK—United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan will deliver the morning keynote address at the Global Connection economic development conference on Friday, December 11, sponsored by New York City Comptroller Alan G. Hevesi in partnership with New York University’s Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.

The conference will include three panel discussions led by corporate executives and scholars on specific steps that must be taken to strengthen the relationship between New York City’s investment community and the global market.

Speakers will include Bell Atlantic’s Vice Chairman and President Ivan Seidenberg; Richard B. Fisher, chairman of the executive committee at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter & Company; Fran Reiter, president of New York Convention and Visitors Bureau; Aidan St. P. Walsh, OBE, partner in charge, KPMG Peat Marwick, LLP; and Rae Rosen, senior economist, Federal Reserve Bank of New York and Lawrence J. White, of NYU’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
