Current Issues, Meetings, and Records

The T-FSC meets nine times during the academic year. The content of these meetings may be reviewed in the T-FSC meeting minutes and meeting summaries. The  University Senate meets six times during the academic year. The content of these meetings may be viewed in the University Senate meeting minutes.

The T-FSC committees, which focus on areas including administration & technology, affirmative action and diversity, faculty benefits & housing, educational policies & faculty-student relations, finance and policy planning, governance, the Global Network University, and personnel and tenure modifications, draft reports, recommendations, and resolutions that are reviewed and voted on by the Council and communicated to university administration.   • The Personnel Policies & Tenure Modifications Committee reviewed and Council approved the revisions to the Leonard N. Stern School of Business Promotion and Tenure Guidelines, dated April 7, 2017.

  • The Personnel Policies & Tenure Modifications Committee reviewed and Council approved recommendations regarding the FAS Policies and Procedures, Recruitment of New Faculty, Language Lecturer and Senior Language Lecturer Appointments.

NYU Retirement Program Update
  • At the October 12 Council meeting the following special guests presented on the NYU Retirement Program Update: Patricia Halley, Senior Director, Global Benefits and Mark Petti, Assistant Director, Retirement Plans and Global Benefits. They were joined by Jesse Morris, a representative from Cammack Retirement Group, who serves as the consultant to the NYU retirement committee.

Being@NYU: Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Survey
  • At the September 14 Council meeting, the following special guests presented on the Climate Survey: Tracy Gardner, Deputy Chief of Staff in the President’s Office, Awam Amkpa, former Vice Chairperson and a member of the Climate Survey Working Group, and Karen Gulino, Associate Vice Provost for Strategy and Katy Fleming’s Chief of Staff and a member of the Climate Survey Working Group.
