Employee Tuition Benefits for Faculty Pursuing Degrees-in-Course
- The Committee proposed the Council request that the Office of the Provost develop on behalf of the Board of Trustees procedures for the implementation of University Bylaw 81 (c) of December 14, 2016, that give reasoned justification for the policy of prohibiting faculty study toward degrees-in-course and the grounds for seeking the Board’s exceptional permission for such study.

Report and Comments on Faculty Budget for 2017-18
- The Finance & Policy Planning Committee submitted their recommendations for the faculty budget for academic year 2017-2018. The Council approved at the March 28, 2017 meeting.

School Policies
- Schools have been updating their C-Faculty appointment policies to implement and align with the Faculty Policies Applicable to Full-Time Continuing Contract Faculty, working iteratively with the Office of the Provost and in consideration of recommendations provided by the T-FSC and the C-FSC.
- Links to school policies that have recently completed this process are now posted under Provost’s Academic Policies and Procedures
- The posting provides links to the policies of CUSP, Gallatin, ISAW, Liberal Studies, Stern, and Tisch. Additional school policies will be posted as the process of formulating and finalizing them are completed.
SCOG revision to Section 66 of the University Bylaws
- SCOG considered bylaws revisions related to Sections 65-69 of the University Bylaws. SCOG has recommended a change to Section 66. The Full-Time Continuing Contract Faculty Senators Council, Section (a) Functions.

University Access to Personal Digital Content Policy
- The C-FSC Administration & Technology Committee and the T-FSC Administration & Technology Committee jointly reviewed the University Access to Personal Digital Content policy.
- At the November 17, 2016 meeting of the C-Faculty Senators Council and the December 15, 2016 meeting of the T-Faculty Senators Council, the policy dated November 7, 2016 was approved.

Creation of Standing Communications Committee
- The Council approved the creation of a standing Communications Committee whose purpose would be to facilitate and coordinate the collection and distribution of relevant information to C-FSC Constituents, Administration, Schools, other committees, and the public when deemed relevant. This should include, but not be limited to, creating succinct summaries of meetings, data from surveys, council decisions, policies, and activities, as well as aiding C-FSC Senators in the dissemination of important information directly to their individual schools.
