About the Program

With hundreds of graduates, the AMC Mentoring Program is in its eighth year and seeks continued engagement and participation. The goal of the program is to support the mentees with pursuing professional development goals and fostering a sense of community. Full-time administrators (including deans), and union staff are welcome and encouraged to apply as either a mentee or a mentor. The program begins in September and continues through May, with a graduation celebration held in June.

Accepted applicants are formally paired for the academic year based on responses submitted via the AMC Mentoring Program application. Pairs are determined by stated needs and not by title or rank. Each pair determines the cadence and structure of their meetings, but the goals for the year are set by the mentee. Monthly newsletters and various workshops are offered to participants during the academic year.

The application window is now closed for the academic year. Please check back in the spring as the application period begins in May.

Be a Mentor

The AMC Mentoring Program is open to all full-time NYU employees.

Due to the popularity of our program, we are often in need of additional mentors. We are looking for administrators at all levels who are interested in giving back to the NYU community by participating in the program as a mentor. If you have questions about what it takes to be a mentor, check out our mentoring guide (Google Doc)
