About the Program

With hundreds of graduates, the AMC Mentoring Program is about to start its eighth year and seeks continued engagement and participation. The goal of the program is to support the mentees with pursuing professional development goals and fostering a sense of community. Full-time administrators, clerical staff, and administrative deans are welcome and encouraged to apply as either a mentee or a mentor. The program begins in September and continues through May, with a graduation celebration held in June.

Accepted applicants are formally paired for the academic year based on responses submitted via the AMC Mentoring Program application. Pairs are determined by stated needs and not by title or rank. Each pair determines the cadence and structure of their meetings, but the goals for the year are set by the mentee. Monthly newsletters and various workshops are offered to participants during the academic year.

The application window is now closed for the academic year. Please check back next spring as the application period begins in May.

Be a Mentor

We are looking for colleagues at all levels who are interested in giving back to the NYU community by participating in the program as a mentor. If you have questions about what it takes to be a mentor, check out ourĀ mentoring guide (Google Doc).
