Benefits

" "

The Benefits Committee performs three vital functions to the community. We evaluate the existing policies that affect administrators and also recommend beneficial changes to make NYU a leader in the benefits field. Working closely with NYU Human Resources, we ensure administrators have input into the policy changes that affect us both at work and at home. The Committee also hosts Benefit Spotlights throughout the year to focus on important issues. This year, we presented the University’s expanded Gender Affirming Care in a thoughtful session that gave space for discussion and also resulted in recommendations for future spotlights. Finally, the Committee partners with the AMC Senators on the Senate Financial Affairs Committee to draft the annual letter with the AMC’s requests for the upcoming fiscal year.

Community Service

The Community Service Committee not only fulfills the University Bylaws "commitment to community service", it transcends it.

The Community Service Committee runs informational projects, charity drives and community building events that impact thousands of lives in NYC and around the globe. This past year, the Committee thoughtfully considered the organizations we partnered with and how our work intersects with IDBEA initiatives.

Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Committee

AIDE strives to sustain a community of administrators vested in creating a more inclusive, diverse, and equitable NYU. Our initiatives related to Global Inclusion, Diversity, Belonging, Equity, Access (GIDBEA) are enacted through communication and collaborations with University partners and leadership to monitor progress, provide policy recommendations, and strengthen initiatives focusing on workplace climate, diversity in hiring and employee retention, and encouraging participation in professional development activities meant to strengthen community, increase awareness, and develop solidarity. AIDE works closely with the University’s Office of Global Inclusion, Diversity, and Strategic Innovation (OGI) to elevate and address the needs and desired outcomes of NYU’s administrators related to the mission.
