Clara Gomez is a Graduate Student Assistant for the Work Life office. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Art Therapy at New York University. Clara received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Visual Arts from Ramapo College of New Jersey. During her undergraduate studies, Clara developed an interest in the use of creatively expressive therapeutic techniques to engender positive change. She has been delighted to witness the restorative potential of artistic engagement in her previous research assistant position for a study by NYU faculty on Art Therapy as a neurorehabilitative treatment for individuals diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. Clara hopes to blend her passions in social science, wellness, and creativity to facilitate individual and community empowerment.
