PRE-CONFERENCE 

Thursday, February 13, 2020 | 9:00AM-3:00PM

  • All Faculty, Staff, and Non-NYU Students: $35.00 + 7.5% service fee
  • NYU Students: There is a limited number of complimentary registrations for NYU undergraduate and graduate students enrolled full-time at NYU as the cost is subsidized by the University. Class registration will be verified.

STUDENT AFFAIRS CONFERENCE

  • NYU Students: There is no charge to NYU undergraduate and graduate students enrolled full-time at NYU as the cost is subsidized by the University. Registration will be verified.
  • NYU Faculty and Staff: $35.00 + 7.5% service fee 
  • Non-NYU Guests: $60.00 + 7.5% service fee 

** While we cannot issue a refund, you may have someone substitute in your place. The last day to register is Friday, January 31, 2020. The last day to modify and/or substitute your registration is Friday, February 7, 2020.

Registration fees are payable by credit card, check and NYU Internal Transfer. Credit cards accepted are American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa.

Registration fees are non-refundable but participant substitutions may be made. The registration fee includes conference registration, luncheon, afternoon coffee break and reception (alcoholic beverages are not included).

No on-site registration will be available.


Registration Scholarship for Full-Time Graduate Students at Other Colleges or Universities

The Student Affairs Conference at New York University has established a limited number of scholarships to cover registration for graduate students enrolled full-time at a college or university (non NYU).  Those awarded will be be required to complete a one page reflection of the conference and how the conference has impacted their learning.

GETTING TO NYU

We recommend taking Public Transportation to campus as parking can be a challenge.  On-street parking is very limited but there are local parking garages available.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS

Since this is a one-day conference, arrangements have not been made with any local hotels for room blocks or special rates.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

While we have always been lucky in the past with the weather forecast, our conference is held in February during the winter months.  If New York University is closed, the Student Affairs Conference would be cancelled with no refund. For all weather related updates, please visit the NYU Homepage and/or listen to local news stations.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  1. What credit cards are accepted?

    1. Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express are all accepted.  

  2. Where do I send my check and who is the check made out to?

    1. Checks should be payable to New York University. Please send a copy of your registration with your enclosed check.

  3. How do I pay by NYU Internal Transfers?

    1. Please attach a copy of your registration with your Account Numbers, including your (Account, Fund, Organization, and Program Codes) to Rich Hurley at rich.hurley@nyu.edu.  Example: GXXXX -XX-XXXXX-XXXXX

  4. I need to modify my registration, how do I do this? 

    1. You have until Friday February 7th to modify your reservation. In your confirmation email you received there was a link to "Click Here to View the Event Summary". Click that link and you will be brought to your Event Summary. Enter your confirmation number listed in your confirmation email. At the top left is a modify button. You can edit your registration, including your name, dietary restrictions, and add/update any registration items you need to add/update. 

  5. I can no longer attend the conference, can I get a refund?

    1. While we cannot issue a refund, you have until Friday February 7th to choose someone to attend in your place. In the confirmation email you received there was a link to "Click Here to View the Event Summary". Click that link and you will be brought to your Event Summary. Enter your confirmation number listed in your confirmation email. At the top left is a "More Options" Dropdown button. Click that Button and you will be able to select "Substitute Registration". It will ask you for the new person's first name, last name, and email address. Click Next. You will be asked to Confirm Substitution. If the information is correct, click Confirm. The substituted person will receive a confirmation email BUT that person will need to use their confirmation email and confirmation number to modify their reservation to ensure that all of their registration information is correct as it will reflect the original registrants registration information including dietary restrictions etc. 

  6. Can I register a group of individuals?

    1. You will have the opportunity to add additional group members in the registration process. The total fees for all registrants in the group will be charged to the first person in the group. If members of the group are paying individuals (for example, with different credit cards), you must create separate registrations for each. To add additional individual to a group registration, please select the “Add  Person” button on the summary page.

  7. I would only like to register for the Pre-Conference, how can I do this?

    1. In the items selection, please select Thursday Pre-Conference Registration (Only).

  8. I have a dietary restriction; how can I inform the conference committee?

    1. During registration you will be asked if you have a dietary restriction. We make every effort to accommodate all dietary restrictions. Due to space limitations during lunch, specific food options may be located on either the 4th or 10th floor but not both.

  9. Are there gender-neutral restrooms available?

    1. Gender-neutral restrooms are located on floors 2, 3, and 4 in the hallway leading to the Global Center for Academic and Spiritual Life from the Kimmel Center. There is also a single stall restroom on the first floor of the Kimmel Center to the left of the elevators.

  10. Will there be water available at the conference?

    1. To reflect NYU’s commitment to sustainability we encourage all participants to bring water bottles with them. There are water fountains and filling stations located by the restrooms on each floor as well as in the Marketplace on the 3rd floor.

  11. Will there be printed copies of the conference schedule available during the conference?

    1. To reflect NYU’s commitment to sustainability we encourage all participants to utilize our conference app or print out a copy of the schedule prior to arriving at the conference. Information regarding the conference app and a conference schedule will be sent to participants prior to the conference.
