We hope that you and all in your lives are safe and well.
Important Recent Communications And Follow-up
The University recently sent communications to students; full-time faculty; adjunct faculty; and researchers, administrators, and staff about testing and quarantining as part of the return to campus. If you have not read them, it is important that you do so.
Here are some important follow-up items:
Survey of Students’ Return Plans
All students should complete the Fall Pre-Start Survey by August 7. You should have received an email from the NYU COVID-19 Prevention & Response Team on August 4 with a custom link to the survey. If you cannot find the email, please email email@example.com.
Student Housing Follow-up
The Office of Housing and Residence Life sent a follow-up communication to undergraduates in housing about:
- Setting appointments for moving in to residence halls
- What to pack
Additional information on quarantining will soon be sent to students.
Testing Location for Students Arriving Early for Quarantine
Students arriving on August 18-19 for quarantine are required to be tested upon arrival and then again 7 – 10 days later. We are erecting a tent on Gould Plaza on West 4th St. in front of the Stern School of Business to conduct the tests. We will have additional information shortly on scheduling your test.
Employee Testing at NYU Langone
NYU Langone Health (NYULH) is making testing available to NYU employees through locations in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and Nassau County. After you receive your results, upload them to this form. A few important points:
Essential employees and others currently working on campus should be tested between now and August 15. Those in this group who wish to be tested at NYU Langone Health may call 646-987-3524 to schedule a test.
- We are aware of reports of some initial difficulties getting through on the phone. We believe this has been resolved, and we thank you for your patience.
Please do not call to schedule your test. Instead, please be on the lookout for an email from NYU Langone sometime after August 8 with a link and instructions on how to activate your NYU Langone “MyChart” account. You will receive a text and/or email once your screening test is available to be scheduled. To schedule your test, log into MyChart and select the appointments calendar icon. You can view and select a date, location and time that is most convenient for you. Please schedule your test after August 15.
