New Restrictions on Access to NYU Buildings

Dear NYU Faculty and Staff:
As you probably know, Gov. Cuomo has signed an Executive Order, NY State on PAUSE, mandating that non-essential businesses statewide must close effective 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 22. This order supersedes NYU’s previous guidance that faculty could continue to access campus buildings, and restricts faculty or staff access to NYU buildings anywhere in New York State. Faculty and staff should not come to their offices or classrooms after 8 p.m. Sunday night, March 22nd, until further notice. If you have essential materials in your office that you will need for teaching or working remotely, please retrieve them from your office before that time.
We recognize that the Executive Order will present additional challenges for some faculty; please reach out to your Deans for their advice and assistance. If you have connectivity issues as you transition to remote instruction from home, please contact vp_edtech@nyu.edu.
Thank you for all your efforts.
