Health and Wellness

Our 24-hour Wellness Exchange Hotline for NYU students across the globe received more than 17,000 calls last year — a 425% increase from 2005.

Diversity and Inclusion

Our Office of Global Spiritual Life sees over 4,000 students, faculty, and staff every week for worship, classes, programs, and events — including free yoga and meditation — making us the largest interfaith center in NYC.

Faculty Engagement

47 Faculty Affiliates, 25 Faculty Fellows in Residence, 20 Visiting Faculty Scholars, and eight Expository Writing Professors provide NYU students with the most robust faculty-embedded residential life program in the country.

 

310 Active Student Clubs

Community

NYU sponsors more than 400 active student clubs — from the Chemists Club to the Cheese Club — with more than a dozen new All-University clubs in development. Last year, clubs hosted over 6,000 events.

Athletics

Nearly 500 students participate in NYU's varsity athletics each year — yielding 246 All-America honors since 2003. At the same time, 1,000+ students participate in club sports, 8,000+ in intramural sports, and NYU athletic facilities in Manhattan and Brooklyn have more than one million participants and visitors each year.

In the past year, three leaders in Student Affairs have been inducted into their professional organization’s top fellows program, recognizing their extraordinary contributions to the field: Carlo Ciotoli, ACHA Fellow; Trudy Steinfeld, NACE Academy of Fellows; and Marc Wais, NASPA Pillars of the Profession.
