Are you a student studying abroad at NYU?
Join in the conversation: Global perspectives on IDBEA in NYU study abroad

Dr William Pruitt and Dr Chijioke Obasi will be holding the first IDBEA Global Connect event on 12 October 2023. Global Inclusion, Diversity, Belonging, Equity and Accessibility are key factors in positive student experiences and cross cultural learning central to our study away opportunities. Global connect offers the opportunity for students to connect across the NYU-wide global study away campuses to discuss issues of identity and culture and the impact this has on study abroad experiences.

The aim of these events is for students from a range of minoritized identity backgrounds to come together in community to discuss identity issues important to them and to share experiences of study abroad in order to facilitate learning and build community. We have scheduled these events mid way through the semester in order to take feedback on what is working well so that we can share good practice across our campuses but also so that we can learn about where we need to do better so that we can put things in place in time to improve student experiences. We aim to discuss issues linked to:  class, culture, ethnicity and race, disability, gender, LGBTQIA+ issues, religion or any other area of identity that impacts on your study abroad experience.

In order to offer all students the opportunity to attend at least one event we are repeating the event to meet differing time zones. Please register via the link below.
