Successful teams will be granted a USD 10,000 budget for their proposed project as well as office space at 19 WSN. In addition, New York-based Fellows will receive one course release during the academic year. Abu Dhabi-based Fellows who are slated to teach more than three courses (or the equivalent number of credit hours) during the year may also receive one course release. Otherwise, the Abu Dhabi-based Fellows will receive up to USD 15,000 in the form of a separate grant to travel to NY and/or additional research funds in support of the proposed project.

Applicants are asked to propose a plan of research or artistic creation for the year-long fellowship period that meets two conditions:

  • Teams must include one full-time NYU faculty member in New York and one full-time member of the NYUAD standing faculty.
  • It results in an original scholarly, creative, or artistic product or event presented at 19 WSN either during the fellowship period or the following summer. Examples might include a symposium, panel, exhibit, film, or performance.
Please note that the application deadline for AY2023-24 19 Washington Square North Faculty Fellowships is January 6, 2023 at 11:59 EST.
