NYU Enrollment Management: Reflections From 2020
The events of 2020 brought exceptional challenges to higher education. We, like institutions across our country, faced a unique set of circumstances that required us to collaborate and communicate in brand new ways.
NYU Enrollment Management: Reflections From 2020 is the culmination of a year’s worth of innovation. In looking back, we’ve identified four important takeaways that will serve us well into our future.
The Division of Enrollment Management works collaboratively to recruit, evaluate, select, enroll, assist, and serve the students of New York University. We approach all enrollment functions, research, and operations for NYU's schools and colleges in New York, as well as degree-granting campuses in Abu Dhabi and Shanghai with a student-first mindset. While the Division is headquartered in New York City, reporting staff are positioned throughout NYU's global network.
Our Strategic Priorities
Leveraging Our Global Network
The NYU experience is dynamic no matter where you are in the world. Our division facilitates consistent and connected experiences for our community of 58,000 students at all three degree-granting campuses and 12 global academic centers—across six continents.
Strategic Recruitment and Marketing
What does it take to become a Violet? Our team can tell you. In addition to attracting and enrolling academically talented, diverse candidates from around the globe, we also work on the frontlines of promoting access to higher education for historically under-represented groups.
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging
At NYU, we strive to create an inclusive and diverse environment to spur innovation and ingenuity. That’s why we work hard to recruit and retain a community of students who represent the world’s collective mosaic of ethnicities, cultures, orientations, and gender identities.
Our job doesn’t stop when the students arrive—ensuring admitted students make it to the finish line is a significant part of our work. We support students by asking questions and listening throughout their journey with NYU, and we work with partners across the university to create and implement solutions based on real time data and student feedback. It’s our mission to make this big place feel small.
