Assistant Vice Provost of Academic Program Review, Assessment and Accreditation
As Assistant Vice Provost, Amy is responsible for overseeing several aspects of OAPRA's portfolio, including New York State authorization, multi-state authorization, institutional accreditation, and academic assessment. In this role, she provides critical leadership and strategic direction to align the OAPRA team with University strategic pathways, and to address University, global and school initiatives requiring OAPRA consultation, guidance and support.
Prior to this role, Amy served as the Academic Assessment Officer on the OAPRA team, where she oversaw university-wide academic assessment. Amy joined the Office of the Provost after working at NYU Shanghai for almost a decade. In Shanghai, she served most recently as Assistant Dean for Curriculum, overseeing the core curriculum, academic assessment, and curriculum development. Additionally, Amy was a Clinical Associate Professor in the Writing Program. She launched and led NYU Shanghai’s Writing, English for Academic Purposes, and Creative Writing programs.
Before joining NYU Shanghai, Amy was a lecturer in the NYU Expository Writing Program and a Critical Thinking and Writing instructor for NYU Abu Dhabi's Summer Academy. In addition to her work in New York City, Shanghai, and Abu Dhabi, she has led workshops in journalism at the NYU Ghana academic center and on behalf of NYU in Russia. Amy holds an EdD in Leadership and Innovation and an MA in Journalism, both from New York University.
