Titilayo Weech

Director, Academic Authorization

Titilayo Weech serves as Director of Academic Authorization in the Office of the Provost at New York University (NYU). She serves as the senior member of the Office of Academic Program Review & Assessment (OAPRA) team and the central point person for all NYU New York State Education Department (NYSED) and multi-state academic authorization requirements. Titilayo plays a leadership role in supporting the academic mission of the university by facilitating accurate, streamlined, and comprehensive processes for academic authorization.

Titilayo has been with NYU since 2013, where she most recently served as Program Director with OAPRA.  In this role, she developed her interest and knowledge of strategic processes and policy. Titilayo came to the OAPRA from NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing (NYU Meyers). During her time at NYU Meyers, Titilayo served in several roles including most recently spearheading policy and procedure development, evaluation and implementation, training, and overall operational tasks to facilitate optimal performance in the Office of Undergraduate Programs. Prior to this role, Titilayo worked alongside the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs and Admissions, providing feedback and recommendations to identify opportunities for enrollment growth and innovation.

Titilayo holds a baccalaureate degree in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and a master’s degree from New York University Silver School of Social Work (NYU Silver). Titilayo enjoys working closely with her Alma Mater and spent several years as a NYU Silver field instructor supervising second year interns interested in the field of higher education.
