Jesse Stayton

Jesse Stayton serves as Academic Authorization Administrator in the Office of the Provost (within the Office of Academic Program Review & Assessment) at New York University (NYU). In this role, he supports the Director of Academic Authorization by providing analytical and operational support to facilitate ongoing New York State Education Department (NYSED) & multi-state authorization compliance across all NYU programs.

Jesse brings to the role several years of higher education and program management experience in program operations, human resources, adult and continuing education, recruitment, and community partnerships. Prior to joining NYU, Jesse worked for the City University of New York (CUNY) at York College, as the project manager for human resources, building York’s college-wide intranet network for all employees, creating a long lasting HR “Policies and Procedures" playbook and serving as Chairperson for various college-wide search committees. In addition, Jesse spent some time working abroad as an English instructor in South Korea, as well as campaign fundraising for Grassroots Campaigns, Inc in New York City.

Jesse holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Baruch College, specializing in Urban Policy, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and French from New York University. He looks forward to working with his alma mater to help foster the academic caliber of the University through innovative academic offerings and an efficient authorization.
