Cydney Delia

Program Director, Academic Assessment & Accreditation

Cydney Delia serves as Program Director, Academic Assessment & Accreditation in the Office of the Provost (within the Office of Academic Program Review & Assessment) at New York University (NYU). In this role, she supports colleagues across the institution to design and implement assessment initiatives that advance academic innovation and excellence.

Prior to working in the Office of the Provost, Cydney worked at NYU Shanghai as the Director of Academic Resources, where she developed an infrastructure to support assessment of student learning, seeing a 100% submission rate in the first year. In that role, she also oversaw comprehensive academic support for students and developed professional development events for faculty and staff. Cydney has worked at other diverse institutions, including the Maryland Institute College of Art and the University of Baltimore, where she developed new academic policies and programs tailored to the unique context and needs of each institution. Cydney has also taught English in Switzerland and Japan, where she served as a Japan Exchange & Teaching scholar.

Cydney is a member of the state bar of Maryland and has served on the board of Maryland’s Association on Higher Education and Disability. As a first-generation college student and a student who attended law school at night while working full time, she is committed to advancing equity in higher education by reflecting on the student experience and partnering with colleagues to further academic excellence in teaching and learning.

Cydney earned her J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law, her M.A. in Teaching from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland, and her B.A. in English from St. Mary’s College of Maryland.
