Sponsored Programs Accounting
Sponsored Programs Accounting provides accounting services for post-award grants and contracts received at Washington Square, NYU Abu Dhabi, NYU Shanghai and across the NYU global campuses. Functions performed include project set up, billing, budget adjustments, receivables analysis, financial reviews, cost transfer approvals/corrections and financial reporting. The SPA post-award team supports principal investigators and staff to ensure the financials that support their research complies with the latest sponsor guidelines and regulations. SPA provides day-to-day services as well as leads the SPA Departmental Quarterly meetings to provide the faculty and administrators an overview of their research portfolio, answer any questions and assist in financial planning. SPA is also responsible for compliance activities relating to grants as well as serving as a liaison for all audits, including the Uniform Guidance audit.
