Luis A. Cisneros

Luis Cisneros is the project manager for the Office of Global Inclusion (OGI). He joined the team in 2018 and has provided support to the AVPs and SVP in developing various programs and initiatives, including the Global Inclusive Leadership and Management Institute.
Luis has worked within higher education for over 10 years, serving in various leadership roles within academic advising and college access programs. Luis began his professional career as a TRIO Upward Bound advisor supporting underserved high school students (and their families) make the transition to college. A first-generation student from a migrant household himself, Luis has strived to help all students feel a sense of inclusion and belonging while navigating new learning environments. Prior to OGI, Luis was the Rock Creek orientation center coordinator at Portland Community College where he served on planning committees for the inaugural MENTE Latino Male Summit and the Academic Professional Development Institute.
Luis earned his Masters of Arts in Higher Education and Student Affairs from NYU where he also served as editor-in-chief for the NYU Journal of Student Affairs, events chair for the Steinhardt Latinx Graduate Student Association, and the academic support and advocacy chair for the Association of Student Affairs Professionals. Luis earned his Bachelors of Science in Sociology from Western Oregon University.
