Lucero Jorge

Name pronunciation: looh-sai-rho hor-hay | Pronouns: She/Her/Hers

Lucero Jorge is the project administrator for the Office of Global Inclusion (OGI). In her role, she provides operational, programmatic, and communications support to central OGI initiatives and hub-specific work, specifically within the LGBTQ+ Center and the Center for Multicultural Education and Programs (CMEP).

Prior to OGI, Lucero was a senior project assistant in the Family Law Project of Sanctuary for Families, conducting city-wide outreach and training for service providers and survivors of domestic violence. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Urban studies and African American studies from Columbia University. 

She is passionate about urban farming, sustainability, and combating food insecurity. She spent a year teaching high school and non-traditional students how to use agriculture technology to build hydroponics systems to address inequities in healthy food access in the Bronx and collaborating on farm design and development.
