Christopher Metz joined the NYU Office of Compliance and Risk Management in March 2020 as Assistant Compliance Officer, reporting to the NYU Deputy Chief Global Compliance Officer. In June 2021, Christopher was promoted to Associate Compliance Officer. Areas of Christopher’s core responsibilities at NYU include data privacy compliance monitoring; conflicts of interest; internal investigations; compliance communication, training, and awareness; and policy development and review.
Prior to joining NYU, Christopher has served in legal, compliance, and ethics roles in the financial services and digital media industries. He has advised on a broad array of compliance matters and played a critical role in the development of compliance programs at different organizations.
Christopher is a licensed attorney in New York. Christopher is a member of the Compliance Committee for the NYC Bar Association.
