Chetna Koshy is the Chief Compliance Officer at NYU Abu Dhabi. Chetna currently leads NYU Abu Dhabi’s Office of Compliance and Risk Management (OCRM), reporting to the NYU Acting Chief Global Compliance Officer. Chetna’s core responsibilities include oversight of NYU Abu Dhabi’s Compliance Program. The NYU Abu Dhabi OCRM facilitates and monitors compliance with University policies, U.S. and local laws and regulations, in various areas, including, ethics, conflicts of interest, anti-bribery and corruption, international research, international trade compliance (including, import, export, and trade sanctions compliance), privacy, protection of minors, and third party contractors compliance with the University's Supplier Code of Conduct and local labor laws pertaining to working and living conditions. Additional areas of Chetna’s core responsibilities include: internal investigations; compliance communication, training and awareness; and policy development and review. In leading NYU Abu Dhabi’s OCRM, Chetna works in close collaboration with executive leadership in New York and Abu Dhabi. She also works closely with the Office of General Counsel, Office of Equal Opportunity, Human Resources, Internal Audit, Office of Youth Programs Compliance, and other departments across the global network university’s various academic and administrative units. Chetna has also guest lectured at NYU Abu Dhabi and NYU Shanghai in undergraduate courses on various topics, including, ethics, labor and economics, business and human rights, social responsibility, and international business law. Chetna is a licensed attorney admitted to practice in Texas.
