Arberetta Bowles

Arberetta W. Bowles is the Associate Compliance Officer at NYU Abu Dhabi. Arberetta is critical in facilitating and conducting compliance training and awareness sessions, as well as collaborating with the Office of Learning & Development, to further heighten awareness on compliance topics, including the University's Code of Ethical Conduct and Conflicts of Interest at NYUAD. Working closely with the Office of Youth Programs Compliance, Arberetta leads all processes to ensure NYUAD and non-NYUAD programs and activities involving non-matriculated minors are in compliance the NYU Protection of Minors Policy. Additional areas of Arberetta’s core responsibilities include compliance communication through policy development and review, as well as engaging with stakeholders during these processes. She also has responsibility for labor compliance monitoring activities and works to facilitate suppliers’ compliance through audits and inspections. Arberetta holds a Masters in Higher Education Administration and has over 19 years of experience in Higher Education in compliance, faculty affairs, human resources, and diversity, equity & inclusion.
Arberetta is a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional International (CCEP - I) and member of the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE), American Association of Blacks in Higher Education (AABHE), and Higher Education Protection Network (HEPNet).
