I want to update you on the presidential search process, particularly the membership of the NYU President Search Committee.

The selection of a president is one of the most important decisions an institution of higher learning can make in influencing its direction. So, among the Committee’s foremost tasks will be listening to the University community about what to look for in its next president. We expect to have a high degree of engagement with the University as we set about soliciting guidance. We will write again in the fall with more information about how to participate in this process.

Many members of the University community are deeply familiar with the higher education landscape and have had the chance to observe individuals they believe possess the skills that would make them outstanding candidates for the NYU presidency. The Committee would like to invite anyone who wishes to put forward someone’s name for consideration to submit their nomination or apply directly to presidentialsearch@nyu.edu.
