Governance

The Board of Trustees is empowered under New York law to oversee the work of the University. The University’s Bylaws outline the structure and governance of the University and define the roles and responsibilities of trustees and officers, Board committees, and the University Senate and its councils.

The University’s Bylaws may be amended by a majority of the voting Trustees present at any meeting at which there is a quorum or by unanimous written consent.
