In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the University is prioritizing the health and safety of our students and has transitioned to remote instruction for the summer semester. Meanwhile, the quickly-shifting situation around the globe places an unexpected financial burden on many of our students.

The NYU community has joined together to support and uplift our students in need by creating the NYU Emergency Relief Fund, which helps students afford the costs of:

  • Academic supplies
  • Internet access and technology expenses
  • Other expense associated with inaccessibility of university facilities and services

100% of funds raised are distributed directly to students through the NYU COVID-19 Relief Grant program. The process to apply is simple and open to all students - undergraduate and graduate - with priority for those who have filed for and received financial aid. Students must be enrolled in the semester for which they apply.

We invite you to join us in this effort: please make a gift of any size to NYU Emergency Relief Fund to help students in need. Additionally, President Andrew Hamilton and his wife Jennie will personally match every dollar donated up to $75,000.
