The Sir Harold Acton Society honors New York University’s most prestigious circle of benefactors who have made gifts of one million dollars or more. The Acton Society, established in 1995, commemorates an extraordinary man whose legacy is a shining example of visionary leadership and worldwide impact. Sir Harold believed deeply in the importance of the world’s great universities and envisioned that La Pietra, his estate in Florence, Italy, would serve as a major center for cultural exchange and scholarship. In order to fulfill his vision, he bequeathed his beloved La Pietra and its priceless collections to New York University to benefit generations of students and scholars. By joining the Acton Society, today’s generous supporters follow Sir Harold’s example by upholding a tradition of the highest level of intellectual patronage.

We are excited to recognize and welcome our newest inductees into The Sir Harold Acton Society. Those listed below join over 600 members of the Acton Society who are making a collective impact to ensure NYU is able to advance its greatest priorities.
