Web Communications is a client-service-oriented administrative unit that works with faculty and administrators to create a Web presence that responds to their wishes for a unique, specific identity within a graphic and technological idiom that maintains a sense of connection to NYU. Through its daily interactions with the University's principal communications and technology offices, we offer clients not only expert advice and execution in architecture, design, and programming, we also ensure that a client's site incorporates the latest technologies, is compatible with the University's principal IT systems and security standards, and can be readily matched with other communication efforts, such as publications and PR.
Web Communications, works in close collaboration with other major NYU communication units—particularly the Office of Public Affairs and the Office of Advertising and Publications—and with Information Technology Services to establish and maintain NYU's presence on the Web, convey official information about the University, and improve access and ease-of-use for users of the University's Web site.
