Credit Card Processing

The Office of the Bursar, in collaboration with Information Technology Services, has developed a secure Web-based form which accepts online credit card payments using the processing services of Sallie Mae.

This is the exclusive and official service for accepting credit card payments on the main NYU web server, www.nyu.edu.

The service may be implemented to receive payment for items such as online gift donations, conference registration or specific fees related to a university event.

Note: The Sallie Mae service only provides credit card processing. Additional functionality, such as event enrollment or inventory sales, is not specifically provided by this service.

Schools and departments will be able to use the processing services of Sallie Mae for a nominal transaction fee. The service is tied into FAME so that a specific chartfield may be credited.

An implementation of a secure donation form is currently available on the Office for University Development and Alumni Relations Web site. This donation form allows for online contributions to be designated to a specific school or department. Therefore, schools and departments which have Web sites may be interested in linking to this page to add the gift-giving element to their sites instead of implementing their own version.
