Housing & Residential Life
The residence hall makes up half of the NYU Washington, DC Global Academic Center - which is located at 1307 L St NW. Each residential floor contains mostly 4-person, 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom apartments as well as a limited number of studio apartments and a student lounge. Students also have access to a game room, resource center, laundry room, serenity space, and ample multipurpose space. A full-time Residential Life Coordinator and part-time Residential Life Administrators reside in NYU Washington, DC to provide advice, guidance, support, programming, and activities.
DOUBLE (PRIMARY OPTION): A two-bed room that is shared with another resident and is in a 2 bedroom apartment. Each double bedroom has two beds, two desks, two desk chairs, and two wardrobes.
SINGLE (LIMITED OPTION): A private, studio-style room with one bed, one desk, one desk chair, and one wardrobe.
Housing Assignments & Initial Billing
Incoming students should expect to receive their housing assignments via email about 2-3 weeks prior to arrival. However, roommate names are not distributed until you arrive in Washington, DC. NYU Washington, DC will attempt to accommodate student housing preferences; however, students may be placed in any of the residential spaces, regardless of preferences, based on the overall needs of the program. Any student who would like to request a particular housing accommodation based on a health or medical need must submit that request with the NYU Moses Center for Student Accessibility prior to the beginning of the semester. Any approvals made by the Moses Center for housing accommodations are subject to housing availability, especially after students have moved into NYU Washington, DC. Students will initially receive estimated housing charges on their Bursar accounts and final housing charges will be posted after the housing assignments have been finalized.

DOUBLE: $6,590/semester (4 students/apartment)
SINGLE: $8,568/semester (1 student/apartment)
NOTE: These are proposed fall 2019 and spring 2020 semester rates for the Washington, D.C. study away site only. Final rates are pending board of trustees approval summer 2019. Room rates are site specific and are generally determined by room type, rental costs, and associated support services. The figures cited in NYU's Cost of Attendance are based on annual room and board rates at NYU's location in New York.
