As part of NYU Sydney's and NYU Washington, DC's Ally Week programming, the Student Life Team and the Women's Empowerment Group at NYU DC co-hosted a joint screening with counterparts at NYU Sydney of the NYU Stonewall@50 documentary followed by a Q&A with the filmmaker Elisa Guarino. This was a unique opportunity for students to interact and collaborate across NYU's Global Sites.
This program was open to NYU DC Students only.
This event was part of our Stonewall 50 series. In the early hours of June 28, 1969, only blocks from NYU’s Washington Square campus, the Stonewall riots began, helping to launch the modern LGBTQ+ movement. Fifty years later, join us as we celebrate and commemorate the remarkable social, cultural, medical, and legal transformations that followedStonewall and continue to shape our community and our University.
