NYU Washington, DC and NYU Gallatin hosted an evening panel discussion followed by a networking reception with NYU Gallatin Alumni.
Moderated by Kiran Gore (BA '06), Professorial Lecturer in Law at George Washington University Law School, the panel included 'Iolani Bullock (BA '08), Acting Director of Georgetown MBA Admissions, Jonathan Cohen (MA '01), Energy Project Specialist at the Department of Energy, Boaz Green (BA '02), Counsel at Keller and Heckman, LLP, Agatha Koprowski (BA '04), Trial Attorney in International Trade Issues at the Department of Justice, and Meena Sareen (BA '10), Human Capital Consultant at Deloitte.
'Iolani L. Bullock is Director of MBA Admissions at Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business where she oversees MBA recruitment events, diversity & inclusion strategy and partnerships. Prior to Georgetown, she worked as a recruiter on Wall Street, most recently managing MBA investment banking recruitment for Morgan Stanley. She received her B.A. from New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study where she concentrated in Africana studies, communications, and marketing. Bullock is also a McDonough MBA graduate, class of 2018.
Jonathan Cohen, LEED Green Associate, leads the U.S. Dept. of Energy’s Better Buildings Residential Network, and works on the DOE Solar Decathlon. He served as Account Manager for over $175 million in grants that developed energy efficiency markets following the Great Recession. He was previously Director of the Responsible Purchasing Network, launched the first global standard to verify CSR reports with the UK-based AccountAbility, and taught at NYU concerning NGO-CSR partnerships.
Boaz Green is Counsel at the law firm Keller and Heckman, where he advises companies on compliance with Federal, state, and international product safety requirements. He was previously Senior Counsel to Commissioner Robinson at the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Before working in product safety, Boaz was a commodities futures and securities litigator in government and private practice. He has a JD from Georgetown and graduated from Gallatin in 2002 with a concentration in Community and Identity.
Agatha Koprowski is a Trial Attorney with the Civil Division, United States Department of Justice. Her practice covers a wide spectrum of substantive areas, including international trade, contract claims, constitutional takings, and federal benefits appeals. Before joining the DOJ, Agatha clerked for a U.S. district court judge and worked at White & Case LLP. She holds a B.A. from Gallatin and a joint J.D./M.A. in Arabic and Islamic Studies from the University of Pennsylvania.
A native of the DC suburbs, Meena Sareen returned to the area after earning a B.A. from NYU's Gallatin School for Individualized Studies where she concentrated on psychology and theatre and the interplay there between. This year, Meena earned an MBA from Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business. Prior to Georgetown, Meena worked in small companies in the areas of client experience, process improvement, and business development. Raised by serial entrepreneurs, Meena was taught the importance of the customer very early. With this understanding, as well as a proclivity toward using out-of-the-box thinking to solve problems, Meena strives to use human-centered strategies to improve experiences. Striving to make a larger impact, Meena recently joined Deloitte's Human Capital team. In her free time, you will likely find Meena challenging someone to ping-pong, on a quest for Mexican food, or channeling her creativity into designing and creating unique gifts for friends and family.
Kiran Gore has a decade of experience with global law firms, working on domestic and transnational dispute resolution, including litigation, international arbitration, and investigations. Her work has spanned a variety of industries and sectors including energy, luxury goods, and financial services. She is also a Professorial Lecturer in Law at the George Washington University Law School. After getting her BA at Gallatin, Kiran obtained her JD at Brooklyn Law School.
