Commuting and Living Off Campus
Commuter Student Services at the Student Resource Center supports students through programs and services specifically designed for commuters. Social and educational programs connect commuters with each other, residential students, and campus resources. Major programs an resources include the sponsorship of overnight accomodations near campus for commuters during final exams; and the provision of lockers in Kimmel to be rented by commuter students each semester.
Commuter Student Services is also home to the Commuter Assistant Program, which links new commuter students with upperclass peers for progrmming and mentoring; and the Commuter Circle student organization.
commuter preview day
Commuter Preview Day is a special orientation just for commuter students. This is your chance to learn more about services and organizations for commuter students including the Off-Campus Student Council, the Commuter Circle, and the Commuter Assistant program. You will also meet other new commuter students and go on a special tour of NYU made just for commuters. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. More information.
commuter welcome
The first commuter event of each academic year is our annual Commuter Welcome, on the first day of Welcome Week. All new commuter students are invited to meet the Commuter Student Services staff and student leaders, get to know other new students, and learn about important commuter resources. More Information.
