QUESTIONS?

For general questions about the move-in process, please email the Student Resource Center at ask.src@nyu.edu or call 212-998-4411.

NYU has more than 20 residence halls, seven of which are dedicated to freshman living as part of the First Year Residential Experience (F.Y.R.E.) program. The F.Y.R.E. halls are situated close to Washington Square and Union Square Parks and most academic classrooms, and both professional and student staff in F.Y.R.E. halls are specially trained and dedicated to serving the unique needs of first-year students.

If you're living on campus this fall, mark your calendar for Sunday, August 26, which is move-in day. By August 10th you will receive via postal mail your residence hall assignment and roommate information. Together with the printed material you will receive by mail, this site will help prepare you for moving onto campus and starting your adventure at NYU. The first thing you should do is log in and register for a check-in time on move-in day.

RSVP for a Check-In Time

The check-in RSVP is an on line process that will begin at noon on August 6, 2007. To select a check-in time, log in with your NetID and password on the upper right-hand corner of this page. You will be directed to a page for the residence hall to which you've been assigned.

Check-in times are divided into 2-hour time blocks between 7:00am and 7:00pm, and are granted on a basis of availability. Time blocks will fill up, but every student will be able to reserve a check-in time.

For information about your specific residence hall, including amenities and what you should and should not bring with you please refer to the Residence Hall page through the site navigation in the left column of this page. You can explore the rest of this site for more information, tips for moving in, and what to expect on check-in day.
