The Reality Show: A How To Guide

The Reality Show was created at New York University as a fresh and original way to give students a sense of all the ups and downs they might encounter during their college years. The piece focuses a great deal on the issues of health and wellbeing. Even though The Reality Show was comprised of skits and songs, everyone involved worked hard to give it a polished, professional and unique artistry.
If you intend to create a similar show for your school, it’s important to keep the quality of the theatrical work as a high priority. We have found that students respond more openly if they are presented with theater that engages them and talks about issues in a new way. In order to achieve a fine artistic presentation as well as an accurate and urgent message about wellness, there are several steps that need to be taken.
The work is hard but extremely rewarding, joyful, and often very funny...
