Admissions
As a current student, you may know others who are interested in applying to NYU. The best resource for prospective students is the NYU Undergraduate Admissions website, which has complete details about the NYU undergraduate application process. Graduate admissions are handled at the school level.
Because New York University has ten undergraduate school options, students who decide to change their academic paths, say from philosophy to teaching, can do so by transferring to another school within the University. Current undergraduate students who wish to transfer to another school within NYU must complete an application. Students in the General Studies Program normally complete their bachelor's degrees in the NYU school to which they originally applied. GSP students who wish to complete their degrees in a school to which they did not originally apply should consult with their advisors to determine their eligibility. For more information on internal transfers, see the Undergraduate Admissions website.
