Videotaping your department's event is a sure-fire way to ensure that your content lives on and can be shared with the largest audience possible. The Television Center can record or produce a video of your event from any of the locations across NYU’s Manhattan campus*. From single camera shoots to multicamera shoots, the Television Center can customize your video recording to meet the needs of your department, with the promise of professional service and high quality output in a variety of digital and analog media formats. Moreover, the event can be distributed live over NYU-TV's University Channel, or you can arrange for a live webcast.
The Television Center can also provide crews for your production, from experienced students to top-of-the-line industry professionals. In addition to personnel, the Television Center's professional video technology includes:
- Sony Anycast digital switcher for live single and multicamera recording with Powerpoint or video capture with live graphics
- Sony PTZ robotic cameras (up to 20x1 zoom): both CMOS- and CCD- chip available, capable of HD 1080i recording
- Panasonic HPX-170 cameras, recording digital files to P2 cards and DVCAM tape, capable of HD 720p or 1080i recording
- Canon GL-1 & XL-1 Digital Camcorders, recording to miniDV tape
Audio: Most venues provide audio support using the installed Public Address system and Campus Media Services. Depending on the scope of the project, Television Center can provide wired/wireless microphones, as needed.
