What's with All of Those Books on Food?

In celebration of the Dalia Carmel Collection, just donated to New York University’s Fales Collection by Ms. Carmel, a panel discussion entitled “What’s with All of Those Books on Food? The Current Explosion of Relevant Writings” will take place in NYU’s Bobst Library. Fales is home to one of the largest and most prestigious food studies archives in the United States.



Panelists participating in the discussion include:

  • Dalia Carmel, collector
  • Bill Buford, author/writer
  • Lidia Bastianich, chef and cookbook author
  • Amy Bentley, acting chair, NYU Steinhardt School Department of Nutrition, Food Studies, and Public Health
  • Laura Shapiro, author

The discussion is moderated by Clark Wolf, director of the NYU Critical Topics Series and founder of Clark Wolf Company, the food, restaurant, and hospitality consulting firm.
