TMISL Workshops

As part of the Training for Moving Image Specialists in Libraries (TMISL) project, MIAP designed and implemented workshops on moving image and sound collection care, handling, and administration for working library professionals, drawing on its own curriculum and resources. The workshops were hosted by the Metropolitan New York Library Council (METRO) and addressed the needs of library professionals looking to build new skills in caring for moving image and sound collections. The final workshop in the series was held in 2014 as a pre-conference event leading up to the American Library Association (ALA)'s annual meeting, with co-sponsorship by the ALA's video Roundtable and Preservation and Reformatting Group.
