Focus group meeting with Video Round Table members at ALA

June 16, 2010

We will be at the annual Conference of the American Library Association (June 24-29, 2010). On Friday June 25, from 2:30 - 5:00pm we will be conducting a focus group with members of ALA's Video Round Table. The topics of discussion will be

the state of moving image and sound collections in libraries,
current preservation and access practices,
the training of moving image caretakers,
whether there is a need for trained moving image specialists in libraries,
and what the impediments are to hiring such professionals.
