Encoding/Formats/Packages
The "essence" needs to be encoded according to some scheme. The
encoded essence then needs to be placed into a formal file format that
can be played. It then may also be placed into a
package/container that might: control administrative and structural
metadata, control different streams, handle different data types,
etc. Some file formats are also packinging/containers.
