Spring 2008, Audrey Young, Internship at Elmer Holmes Bobst Library, New York University, New York, NY

Audrey Young spent the majority of her internship in the Film Lab of the Barbara Goldsmith Department for Conservation and Preservation, inspecting, repairing ad re-housing film materials from the LibraryŐs various special collections. She gained insight into the cultures and needs of multiple departments in a research library, and a preservation departmentŐs unique role. Assisting with out-sourcing of film and video materials to vendors, she learned the process from obtaining bids and picking a vendor to projects deliverables and quality control.
