I interned at Brooklyn Historical Society, a regional archive dedicated to all things Brooklyn, during the fall semester of 2013. I was able to catalog or index their moving image materials with a focus on their motion picture film collection. They had a number of items that had no previous preservation work and this was the beginning of a new era of preservation and access for their moving image materials. I was able to make one of their collections, the Granbery and Barr home movies, available online through a finding aid, online streaming, and two collection management applications. The Granbery and Barr home movies were also rehoused, received conserved by vendors, and preserved for the long-term.
