Other issues relevant to his art practice relate to symbols in commodity culture and the impact of violence in African American communities. His work has been published in numerous books and publications including: Reflections in Black: A History of African American Photographers (W.W. Norton 2000), Friendship (M.I.L.K. Press 2000), and is also featured in an upcoming book entitled 25 Under 25, Photographers in the US (The Center of Documentary Studies at Duke University). His photographs have been exhibited in galleries and museums across the country, including the Studio Museum in Harlem. He lives in San Francisco, CA.
