Costume Shop
The Costume Shop is located on the second floor of 721 Broadway.
In a typical year about 1500 costumes will move through this shop. Large cutting tables form the spine of the shop along with industrial sewing
machines and merrow overlocks. A good selection of dress forms
are available to match just about every body type in the Drama Department.
A washer and dryer as well as a dying area are located on the first floor near the Burrows Theatre.
Costumes are stored in a variety of locations depending upon the type of costume and its relative value. Special stock and mainstage stock is located in secure areas while costumes available to all of the Drama Department students are maintained in a Costume Loan Facility in the basement of 719 Broadway. Costumes are loaned only to Drama Department students and the clothing must be laundered or dry cleaned before return.
