Tisch School of the Arts
The TISCH SCHOOL OF THE ARTS is located at 721 Broadway in the heart of
Greenwich Village of New York City. The school occupies a 12 story
building at this location and a second building at 111 Second Avenue.
721 was built originally as a manufacturing loft space like most of its
neighbors and contemporaries. The building became home to the Tisch
School in the early 1980's and now houses most of the departments. The
Drama department occupies space on the first three floors of the
building.
On the first floor is the Abe Burrows Theatre, support spaces and the Drama Department Scenery Shop. On the second floor is the Costume Shop, the Sound Studio, the Frederick Loewe Theatre, the Shop Theatre and the Department's classrooms and rehearsal spaces. The Drama Administrative Offices are located on the third floor along with the Production Office, the Studio Theatre, and the Tech Track classroom -- Studio Six.
