In this elective class we will explore ways that the use of 3D software can support your efforts at visualizing 3d design in your core classes. After some weeks of small introductory projects to familiarize ourselves with the basic functions of the software, we will start on a series of 4-5 week mini projects that will support the needs of set/lighting design.Our first project will be building a 360 degree white model of a theatrical space, followed by creating an animated scenic shift in this environment and explore the various ways that it can be lit. In the Spring Semester we will continue with the space and create a storyboard utilizing the camera functions of 3d Viz.
